About the Callaway XR OS
The XR OS is the oversize, maximum-forgiveness version of Callaway's XR iron, announced on 12 January 2016 and at retail from 22 January. OS stands for oversize: the head is larger than the standard XR with a wider sole and a lower, deeper centre of gravity to raise launch. It also runs longer than the standard XR through the mid irons, with a 37.25 inch 7-iron against 37 inches. Lofts are weaker than the standard XR in the long and mid irons, a 31.5 degree 7-iron against 30, but converge from the 9-iron down. Specs below are the standard men's steel-shaft numbers.

Finding a used set
The Callaway XR OS ran from 2016 to 2017 and is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search the used listings on eBay, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.
- 2nd Swing Golf Callaway XR OS iron set spec table (2ndswing.com/golf-clubs/iron-sets/callaway-xr-os-iron-set) — loft, lie, length, swingweight and stock shafts
- Golfstead Callaway XR OS iron review — independently matches the 2nd Swing table on every loft, lie and length
- PR Newswire, 'Callaway Golf Announces XR OS Irons And Hybrids' (12 January 2016) — announcement and 22 January 2016 retail date
- Confidence is medium because Callaway's own XR OS spec page could not be retrieved; the figures rest on two agreeing retailer and review sources rather than a manufacturer table. Note this is a 2016 model: no 2015 XR OS was found in any source.
- Offset ladder added from the Callaway Demandware ProductSpecs feed (ProductSpecs-Get), the manufacturer-authored source behind the View Specs panel, published natively in decimal inches
- Status check, 29 September 2026: year_discontinued is 2017. No successor. callawaygolf.com's iron sets page lists the XR OS on 3 October 2017 and not on 6 November 2017 (callawaygolf.com, archived 2017).
