About the Cleveland Launcher HB
The Launcher HB (Hybrid) is a fully hollow-bodied, wide-soled iron built to play like a set of hybrids through the whole set. A HiBore crown steps the topline down to push the centre of gravity low and deep, and an ultra-thin high-strength HT1770 steel face insert adds ball speed. Internal stabilising ribs improve acoustics and, unusually for a hollow iron, make the heads strong enough to be bent for loft and lie. Lofts are strong for a game-improvement set at 30 degrees in the 7-iron, and the set runs 4-iron through PW with 50-degree (D) and 56-degree (S) wedges available. Specs below are Cleveland's published numbers; lengths are common to steel and graphite, with graphite running one swing-weight point lighter.

Frequently asked questions
What is the loft of a Cleveland Launcher HB 7-iron?
The Cleveland Launcher HB 7-iron has a loft of 30 degrees, a lie of 62.5 degrees and a length of 37.0 inches.
What are the Cleveland Launcher HB wedge lofts?
The pitching wedge is 44 degrees, the D (gap) wedge 50 degrees and the S (sand) wedge 56 degrees.
Can Cleveland Launcher HB irons be bent for loft and lie?
Yes. Cleveland added internal stabilising ribs to the hollow heads specifically so they retain enough strength to be adjusted for loft and lie, which is unusual for a hollow-body iron.
Finding a used set
The Cleveland Launcher HB is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search eBay, 2nd Swing, Golf Avenue and the PGA Tour Superstore trade-in listings, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.
