About the Cleveland RTX Full-Face 2

The RTX Full-Face 2 is Cleveland's 2024 full-face-groove specialty wedge, announced and at retail on 24 January 2024. Grooves run from hosel to toe across a subtly high-toe face with about a square inch more area than the RTX 6 ZipCore — 34 percent more contact area in all — for spin on open-face shots. It carries 96 percent more ZipCore material than the original Full-Face for a 13 percent higher MOI, plus the UltiZip grooves and loft-specific HydraZip wet-spin face treatment from the RTX 6. The line runs 50 to 60 degrees in 2-degree steps plus a 64-degree flop model, with an S-shaped sole on 50-56 and a C-shaped sole on 58-64. Finishes are Tour Satin and the raw Tour Rack, whose customisation programme offers a rounded or sharpened leading edge.

The sole of the 58, 60 and 64 degree models at 8 degrees of bounce, with relief that keeps the leading edge low on open-face flop shots.

Frequently asked questions

What lofts does the Cleveland RTX Full-Face 2 come in?

50 to 60 degrees in 2-degree steps, plus a 64-degree flop model — 7 options in all. The 50 and 52 are right-handed only; 54 through 64 come in both hands.

What bounce does the Cleveland RTX Full-Face 2 have?

8 degrees on the S-shaped sole at 50 and 52 degrees, 10 degrees on the same sole at 54 and 56, and 8 degrees on the C-shaped sole of the 58, 60 and 64 degree models.

What is the difference between the RTX Full-Face 2 and the RTX 6 ZipCore?

The Full-Face 2 runs its grooves across the whole face of a subtly high-toe head with about 34 percent more contact area, built for open-face shots; the RTX 6 is the traditional-shape tour line with a four-grind matrix.

Where it sits in the lineup

Introduced in 2024, the Cleveland RTX Full-Face 2 is a current specialty wedge in the Cleveland range as of October 2026, with no replacement announced. It replaced the Cleveland RTX Full-Face. New wedges are built to the loft, bounce and grind options in the chart above; a fitting can bend loft and lie from standard, so confirm the numbers on the order sheet. Check the loft and bounce against the chart above before buying used — wedges are routinely bent from standard, and worn grooves cost spin long before a wedge looks worn.
