About the Cobra Snakebite
The Snakebite is Cobra's 2023 tour wedge generation, announced in March 2023, with the unplated Raw finish added in March 2024. Its CNC-milled SNAKEBITE grooves are 11 percent deeper with 40 percent sharper edges than the previous generation, cut narrow and deep on the 48 to 54 degree heads and wider, shallower and full-face on 56 to 60. The matrix runs 13 loft/bounce/grind combinations from 48 to 60 degrees across three grinds. Cobra replaced the line with the KING and KING X wedges in March 2025. A one-length build and the cavity-back Snakebite-X variant were sold alongside the standard model and are not charted here.

- Classic Grind52°, 56°, 60°
- A medium-width, higher-bounce sole with progressive width from heel to toe and trailing-edge relief, for neutral to steeper swings in a variety of conditions.
- Widelow Grind56°, 58°, 60°
- A wide, low-bounce sole for soft bunkers, soft turf and medium rough that keeps the leading edge from digging.

Frequently asked questions
What lofts does the Cobra Snakebite come in?
The Snakebite was sold from 48 to 60 degrees — 13 loft, bounce and grind combinations across the Versatile, Classic and Widelow grinds.
What grinds does the Cobra Snakebite offer?
Three: Versatile (8-10 degrees of bounce, every loft), Classic (11-12 degrees, 52-60) and the wide low-bounce Widelow (4-7 degrees, 56-60).
Is the Cobra Snakebite still in production?
No. Cobra replaced it with the KING and KING X wedges in March 2025, so the used and closeout market is the source — the Raw finish version was the last addition, in 2024.
Finding one used
The Cobra Snakebite ran from 2023 to 2025 and is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search the used listings on eBay. Check the loft and bounce against the chart above before buying used — wedges are routinely bent from standard, and worn grooves cost spin long before a wedge looks worn.
