What the differences mean
At the 7-iron, the Launcher HB Turbo is 30° and the Launcher UHX is 30°, identical at the club most golfers compare on, although other clubs in the sets differ. Across the 7 clubs both sets share, the differences roughly cancel out, with the largest gap at the 6-iron (26.5° vs 26°).
The sets are built differently: the Launcher HB Turbo runs 4-iron to SW (9 clubs), the Launcher UHX 4-iron to PW (7 clubs).
The Launcher HB Turbo is a super game improvement iron and the Launcher UHX a game improvement iron, so they sit one step apart on the forgiveness scale. The Launcher HB Turbo is the more forgiving design, with a wider sole, more offset and more perimeter weighting for high handicaps, beginners and slower swing speeds. The Launcher UHX trades some of that for a more compact head, thinner topline and more control over flight and shape, which suits roughly 10 to 25 handicaps.
The Launcher HB Turbo is listed as hollow body and the Launcher UHX as progressive set — hollow-body long irons (4-7), cavity-back short irons (8-PW). Both use hollow-body heads, so both trade a little feel for face flex and launch help.
Both sets were introduced in 2019, so this is a choice between two models from the same lineup rather than an upgrade: Cleveland designed them to sit side by side for different players.
Which should you choose?
The Launcher UHX is the stronger-lofted set — up to 0.5° stronger than the Launcher HB Turbo on matching clubs. Expect longer carry per numbered iron but a flatter descent angle; gapping at the wedge end is where that shows up.
