What the differences mean

The T24 offers the wider selection: 17 loft/bounce/grind combinations against 16 for the Pro T-1. The Pro T-1 also has the deeper grind catalogue: 6 sole grinds against 5.

Loft coverage is identical: both run 46° to 60° and are sold at the same 8 degrees.

The scoring lofts are where bounce and grind choice matters most: at 56° the T24 offers 4 options to 3; at 58° the T24 offers 4 options to 3; at 60° both offer 3 options. More options at a degree means more ways to match the sole to your turf and swing, which is what a wedge fitting actually selects.

The Pro T-1 arrived 2 years after the T24 as its replacement. Wedge generations usually carry over the core loft ladder and adjust the grind catalogue, groove spec and finishes, so the older model is the value buy while stock lasts — the trade-off is the newer grooves, which matter more the more you play.

Which should you choose?

The Pro T-1 is the newer generation, so it carries the current groove spec and the fuller retail availability; the T24 is the value buy while closeout and used stock lasts. The option chart above is the tiebreaker — if the exact loft, bounce and grind you play is only in one of them, that decides it.

Both option charts are reproduced in full on their own pages: Mizuno T24 specs and Mizuno Pro T-1 specs.
