About the Mizuno MP-37

The MP-37 is a Grain Flow Forged players iron sold alongside the MP-32 and MP-33, covering the 2-iron through pitching wedge. It shares the loft ladder of the MP-30 before it, with a 35-degree 7-iron and a 47-degree pitching wedge, but cuts offset to a flat 0.11 inches through the long and mid irons. Bounce is comparatively high for a blade, starting at 4 degrees in the 2-iron and reaching 7 degrees at the wedge. Lengths and lofts listed are the standard men's steel-shaft specification.

Finding a used set

The Mizuno MP-37 is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search eBay, 2nd Swing, Golf Avenue and the PGA Tour Superstore trade-in listings, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.

Data compiled from:
  • golfclubspec.com iron spec database, Mizuno MP-37 entry id=197 (full loft/lie/length/offset/bounce table, 2-iron through pitching wedge; noted right handed only)
  • mizunogolf.com US irons timeline (production years 2004-2006)
  • No Mizuno spec sheet or archived official product page was located for this model, so the spec numbers rest on a single secondary spec database and confidence is medium; swing weight was not published and is omitted
