About the Adams Idea (2023)
The 2023 Idea marks TaylorMade's revival of the dormant Adams brand as a value-priced, direct-to-consumer line, roughly a decade after the last original Idea sets. The hollow-body head pairs a variable-thickness face and 360-degree undercut with a low centre of gravity and the three-way "Tri-Sole" for cleaner turf interaction. Unlike most of the 2023 game-improvement field the lofts are not chased: the 7-iron is 30 degrees and the pitching wedge 44.5, closing with a 50-degree A-wedge. The set runs 4-iron through A-wedge and is sold in full and shorter package configurations. Figures below are Adams' published standard men's specification, shared by the KBS Max 85 steel and UST Helium Nanocore graphite builds; a separate "Lite" build is one inch shorter per club at a C3 swing weight.

Frequently asked questions
What is the loft of a 2023 Adams Idea 7-iron?
The 2023 Adams Idea 7-iron has a loft of 30 degrees, with a 62.5-degree lie and a 37.25-inch length in the standard build.
Are the 2023 Adams Idea irons made by TaylorMade?
Yes. TaylorMade has owned Adams Golf since 2012 and revived the brand in 2023 as a value-priced, direct-to-consumer line, with the Idea irons as its first new release.
What clubs come in a 2023 Adams Idea set?
The line runs 4-iron through a 50-degree A-wedge, sold in full-set and shorter package configurations rather than a single fixed make-up.
Are the 2023 Adams Idea lofts strong?
No. At 30 degrees on the 7-iron and 44.5 on the pitching wedge they are one to three degrees weaker than most 2023 game-improvement irons, a deliberate choice to keep flight high.
Where it sits in the lineup
Introduced in 2023, the Adams Idea (2023) is a current game improvement set in the Adams range, with no replacement announced. New sets are built to the standard lofts, lies and lengths in the chart above, though a fitting can move any of them — so confirm the numbers on the order sheet. Used sets appear on eBay, 2nd Swing and Golf Avenue, and should be measured against this chart before buying.

- MyGolfSpy 'Adams IDEA – A Revitalized New Lineup' — independently confirms the 30-degree 7-iron and 44.5-degree pitching wedge and notes the deliberately un-jacked lofts. Plugged In Golf's '2023 Adams IDEA Irons Review' confirms the hollow-body construction, Tri-Sole and the brand's 2023 rebirth as a direct-to-consumer value line.
- Offset and bounce are omitted: Adams' published table does not include them. year_discontinued is null because the Idea irons remain in Adams' direct-to-consumer range with no announced successor as of July 2026.
