About the Callaway X Forged (2018)
The 2018 X Forged is Callaway's tour cavity back of that era: a streamlined cavity, a compact profile, a thin top line and minimal offset, forged in Callaway's triple-net process from 1025 carbon steel. The sole is tri-level, with a bevelled leading and trailing edge, and the face carries 20V grooves. Lofts are traditional — 33 degrees at the 7-iron, 46 at the pitching wedge. Figures are the men's standard right-handed steel build.

Finding a used set
The Callaway X Forged (2018) ran from 2018 to 2020 and is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search eBay, 2nd Swing, Golf Avenue and the PGA Tour Superstore trade-in listings, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.
- Callaway 2018 X Forged published specification chart as reproduced in retailer and review listings (callawaygolfpreowned.com 2018 X Forged listing and golfalot.com 'Callaway X-Forged 2018 Irons Review') — loft, lie, length and offset (in millimetres) for the 4-iron through pitching wedge, plus the Dynamic Gold Mid 115 stock shaft and Lamkin Crossline grip. Offset is converted to inches here.
- 2ndswing.com Callaway 2018 X Forged Iron Set page — confirms the forged 1025 carbon steel, the triple-net forging, the tour-configured sole and the 20V grooves, and lists 3-PW and 4-PW as the set ranges sold.
- Note: bounce and swing weight were not published in the sources consulted and are omitted rather than estimated.
- Note on succession: the next tour cavity back was the X Forged CB of the 2021 line, announced on 13 October 2020 alongside the Apex MB 21, which is why year_discontinued reads 2020. An earlier version of this entry named the Apex MB 21 as successor; the X Forged CB is the like-for-like replacement.
