About the Cleveland CBX Full-Face 2
The CBX Full-Face 2 is Cleveland's 2023 full-face specialty wedge on the forgiving CBX platform, announced on 18 January 2023 and at North American retail from 3 February 2023 at 169.99 dollars. The high-toe face is the biggest ever on a CBX — 13 percent more contact area than the RTX Full-Face — with ZipCore and a hollow cavity pushing the CG behind the impact zone, a Gelback insert for feel, HydraZip face blasts and edge-to-edge UltiZip grooves. Every loft carries 12 degrees of bounce at a uniform 35.5-inch length: the gap lofts use a Full sole for square, full-swing shots and the 54-60 heads a C-shaped sole with heel relief for open-face play. All grinds carry a leading-edge bounce chamfer against chunked chips. The 50, 54 and 58 are right-handed only.

Frequently asked questions
What lofts does the Cleveland CBX Full-Face 2 come in?
50 to 60 degrees in 2-degree steps, every loft with 12 degrees of bounce and a uniform 35.5-inch length. The 52, 56 and 60 come in both hands; the rest are right-handed only.
What is the difference between the CBX Full-Face 2 and the RTX Full-Face 2?
Both are full-face, high-toe designs, but the CBX adds cavity-back forgiveness — a hollow ZipCore cavity, a Gelback insert and 13 percent more contact area — while the RTX is the compact tour version.
What grinds does the CBX Full-Face 2 use?
Cleveland pairs the sole to the loft: a Full sole on the 50 and 52 for square full swings, and a C-shaped sole with heel relief on the 54-60 for open-face shots.
Production status
Introduced in 2023, the Cleveland CBX Full-Face 2 has no confirmed end date on file. It replaced the Cleveland CBX Full-Face. LoftChart records a discontinuation year only where a source dates it, and none has been found for this wedge, so it may or may not still be in the Cleveland catalogue — check with Cleveland or a retailer before counting on a new one. Check the loft and bounce against the chart above before buying used — wedges are routinely bent from standard, and worn grooves cost spin long before a wedge looks worn.
