About the Cleveland HALO XL Full-Face
The HALO XL Full-Face is Cleveland's hybrid-shaped maximum-forgiveness iron, announced on 15 January 2024 as the successor to the Launcher XL Halo and a 2024 Golf Digest Hot List gold medalist. The bigger hollow heads carry hosel-to-toe full-face grooves — an industry first for an iron — with an A.I.-computed MainFrame variable-thickness face, a HydraZip blast for spin in wet or dry conditions, and three progressive sole designs through the set. Lofts are a touch weaker than the old XL Halo, with a 29-degree 7-iron and a 43-degree pitching wedge, on long builds — 39.125 inches at the 4-iron. The stock set is 5-PW plus the 48-degree gap wedge; the 54-degree sand wedge is right-hand only. Swing weights below are the steel build (graphite runs two points lighter at D0/D1), and offsets are converted from Cleveland's published millimetre figures.

Frequently asked questions
What is the loft of a Cleveland HALO XL Full-Face 7-iron?
The Cleveland HALO XL Full-Face 7-iron has a loft of 29 degrees, a lie of 63 degrees and a length of 37.25 inches.
What is special about the grooves on the HALO XL Full-Face irons?
They run the full width of the face, from hosel to toe — Cleveland calls it an industry first for an iron — so off-centre strikes still get consistent spin. A HydraZip face blast adds friction in wet or dry conditions.
When were the Cleveland HALO XL Full-Face irons released?
Cleveland announced them on 15 January 2024 alongside the ZipCore XL, and they won a gold medal on the 2024 Golf Digest Hot List. They remain current, with no successor announced as of July 2026.
What clubs come in a stock HALO XL Full-Face set?
The stock set is 5-iron through pitching wedge plus a 48-degree gap wedge. A 4-iron and a 54-degree sand wedge (right hand only) are also catalogued.
Where it sits in the lineup
Introduced in 2024, the Cleveland HALO XL Full-Face is a current super game improvement set in the Cleveland range, with no replacement announced. It replaced the Cleveland Launcher XL Halo. New sets are built to the standard lofts, lies and lengths in the chart above, though a fitting can move any of them — so confirm the numbers on the order sheet. Used sets appear on eBay, 2nd Swing and Golf Avenue, and should be measured against this chart before buying.
