About the Cobra S2 Forged
The S2 Forged is the better-player companion to Cobra's multi-material S2, launched with it in the autumn of 2009 for the 2010 season — retailers therefore usually list it as a 2010 iron. Heads are forged from 1025 carbon steel with a tour-inspired shape, and lofts sit between the game-improvement S2 and the carried-over Pro CB/MB blades: 31 degrees at the 7-iron and 43 at the pitching wedge, a degree or two stronger than a traditional players iron of the period. Cobra published the set 3-iron through gap wedge in steel only, on a Nippon N.S. Pro 1130 Tour stock shaft with a Golf Pride Tour Velvet grip, and did not publish offset figures.

What year are the Cobra S2 Forged irons?
Cobra announced the S2 Forged alongside the standard S2 in the autumn of 2009 as part of its 2010 line, so listings show either year. The S3 generation replaced it in 2011.
Are the Cobra S2 Forged irons blades?
No — they are forged 1025 carbon steel cavity backs with a tour-inspired shape, sitting between the multi-material S2 and Cobra's Pro CB/MB tour models in the 2010 line-up.
Finding a used set
The Cobra S2 Forged ran from 2009 to 2011 and is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search eBay, 2nd Swing, Golf Avenue and the PGA Tour Superstore trade-in listings, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.
