Stock lofts compared

Each cell lists the heads sold at that stock loft, factory standard. Adjustable hosels extend every head beyond its stamped loft — each model page has the full settings chart.

What the differences mean

Both families are sold in 1 head — Std for the Darkspeed, Std for the DS-ADAPT.

Stock loft coverage is identical: both run 17° to 28° across the same 5 stock lofts.

Only the DS-ADAPT has an adjustable hosel (FutureFit33, ±2° of loft, 33 settings); the Darkspeed plays at its stamped loft.

The DS-ADAPT arrived 1 year after the Darkspeed as its replacement. Hybrid generations usually carry over the loft ladder and move the technology — face design, adjustability, head options — so the older family is the value buy on the used market while the newer one holds retail price.

Which should you choose?

The DS-ADAPT is the newer generation, so it carries the current face technology and full retail availability; the Darkspeed is the value buy used or on closeout. If the head and loft you want is only in one lineup, that decides it — otherwise the newer family is the default at equal prices, and the older one the smarter buy at a real discount.

Both families are charted in full on their own pages: Cobra Darkspeed hybrid specs and Cobra DS-ADAPT hybrid specs.
