About the Takomo 301 CB

The Iron 301 CB is Takomo's players cavity back, one-piece forged from S20C carbon steel and sharing its head weights, lofts, lies and offsets with the 301 MB muscle back. Compared with the MB it has a lower centre of gravity, perimeter weighting and a slightly wider sole, while keeping a short blade length and minimal offset. Lofts are traditional for a modern players iron, with a 34-degree 7-iron and a 47-degree pitching wedge, in a seven-club 4-iron through pitching wedge set. Takomo also sells a 301 Combo set pairing 301 CB long irons with 301 MB short irons. Offsets below are converted from Takomo's published millimetre figures.

Finding a used set

The Takomo 301 CB is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search eBay, 2nd Swing, Golf Avenue and the PGA Tour Superstore trade-in listings, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.

Data compiled from:
  • takomogolf.com Iron 301 CB product page, Clubs spec tab (retrieved July 2026) - head weight, lie, loft and offset in mm for 4-iron through PW, one-piece forged S20C body, .370" hosel, and the KBS Tour / KBS Tour Lite stock shaft tables with D2 standard swing weight
  • 2nd Swing Golf 'Takomo Iron 301 CB Iron Set' specification table - independently reproduces the same lofts, lies and mm offsets and supplies the club lengths (38.5" 4-iron down to 35.5" PW)
  • Model years: takomogolf.com About Us brand timeline (retrieved July 2026) dates the Iron 101 to 2022, the 201 and 301 to 2023 and the MKII generation to 2026; GolfLink's Takomo brand profile instead dates the first Iron 101 shipment to 2021. Where the two disagree the year here is flagged as approximate
