About the TaylorMade SIM2 Max OS
The SIM2 Max OS is the oversized companion to the 2021 SIM2 Max, with a wider chamfered sole, a larger head, more offset and lofts at least a degree stronger through most of the set — a 27-degree 7-iron and a 42-degree pitching wedge against the standard model's 28.5 and 43.5. It shares the Cap Back construction and ECHO Damping System of the SIM2 Max, and its long irons use a shorter face height to push the centre of gravity even lower. For 2022 TaylorMade consolidated the Max and Max OS into the single Stealth iron. Figures are the men's standard right-handed steel build.

Frequently asked questions
What is the loft of a TaylorMade SIM2 Max OS 7-iron?
The SIM2 Max OS 7-iron has a loft of 27 degrees, with a 63-degree lie and a 37.25-inch steel-shaft length.
What is the difference between the SIM2 Max and SIM2 Max OS irons?
The OS is the oversized model: a bigger head, a wider chamfered sole, noticeably more offset and lofts at least a degree stronger through most of the set — 27 degrees at the 7-iron against 28.5, and a 42-degree pitching wedge against 43.5.
What replaced the SIM2 Max OS irons?
The 2022 TaylorMade Stealth iron. TaylorMade consolidated the SIM2 Max and SIM2 Max OS into a single Stealth model rather than continuing a separate oversized version.
What wedges were available for the SIM2 Max OS?
Beyond the 42-degree pitching wedge, the set extended to a 48-degree approach wedge, a 54-degree sand wedge and a 59-degree lob wedge.
Finding a used set
The TaylorMade SIM2 Max OS ran from 2021 to 2022 and is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search eBay, 2nd Swing, Golf Avenue and the PGA Tour Superstore trade-in listings, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.
- 2ndswing.com TaylorMade SIM2 Max OS Iron Set specification table — loft, lie, length, offset (in millimetres, converted to inches here) and graphite/steel swing weights for the 4-iron through lob wedge; steel swing weights are used. Confirms the 4-PW stock make-up, KBS Max MT steel and Fujikura Ventus Blue graphite stock shafts and Lamkin Crossline 360 grip.
- golfalot.com SIM2 Max OS irons review — corroborates the 42-degree pitching wedge, the roughly 1.5-degree-stronger lofts against the standard SIM2 Max, the 2021 launch and the KBS MT stock shaft.
- golfclubguru.com SIM2 Max OS iron set review — corroborates the 27-degree 7-iron. golfstead.com corroborates the 4-LW availability and the Lamkin Crossline 360 grip.
- Note: bounce was not published in the sources consulted and is omitted rather than estimated. Succession: MyGolfSpy's Stealth irons launch coverage (January 2022) states the single Stealth iron replaced both the SIM2 Max and SIM2 Max OS, which sets year_discontinued and the successor field.
