About the Callaway Apex CB (2024)
Announced in 2023 and sold as the '24 model, the Apex CB is the forged tour cavity back in Callaway's Apex line, sitting between the Apex MB blade and the hollow-bodied Apex Pro. It is a compact 1025 carbon steel forging with a thin sole and tungsten weighting, and its lofts are traditional: 34 degrees at the 7-iron and 46 at the pitching wedge, four degrees weaker than the Apex Pro of the same generation. Figures are the men's standard steel build.

Frequently asked questions
What is the loft of a Callaway Apex CB 7-iron?
The Callaway Apex CB '24 7-iron has a loft of 34 degrees, a lie of 62.0 degrees and a steel-shaft length of 37.00 inches.
Is there a Callaway Apex 23?
No. Callaway announced the Apex Pro, Apex CB and Apex MB in 2023 and sold them as the '24 models; there is no iron in the range badged Apex 23.
What is the difference between the Apex CB and the Apex Pro?
The CB is a solid forged cavity back with traditional lofts — 34 degrees at the 7-iron. The Apex Pro is a hollow-bodied players-distance iron whose 7-iron is 33 degrees with a faster face.
What is the pitching wedge loft on the Callaway Apex CB?
46 degrees, with a 50-degree approach wedge below it.
Where it sits in the lineup
Introduced in 2023, the Callaway Apex CB (2024) is a current players set in the Callaway range, with no replacement announced. It replaced the Callaway Apex TCB. New sets are built to the standard lofts, lies and lengths in the chart above, though a fitting can move any of them — so confirm the numbers on the order sheet. Used sets appear on eBay, 2nd Swing and Golf Avenue, and should be measured against this chart before buying.

Offset is converted to inches here.

- Note: bounce and swing weight were not published on the product page and are omitted rather than estimated.
- Predecessor: the 2021 tour range ran Apex Pro 21, Apex MB 21 and Apex TCB; in the '24 range the Pro and MB carried over by name while the CB took the forged cavity-back slot from the TCB, whose lofts, lies and lengths it repeats club for club (golf.com and golfshake.com 2023 launch coverage).
