About the Callaway Epic Forged
Epic Forged was Callaway's most expensive iron of 2019, a forged hollow body with a cup face, tungsten weighting and urethane microspheres behind the face. The lofts are among the strongest ever put on a forged iron — 27 degrees at the 7-iron and 18 at the 4 — and the set runs long, at 39.5 inches for the 4-iron, so the carry gaps at the top of the bag are unusually wide.
Stock shafts
- Aerotech SteelFiber FC — graphite
- Mitsubishi Tensei AV Silver — graphite

Finding a used set
The Callaway Epic Forged ran from 2019 to 2020 and is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search the used listings on eBay, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.
- 2nd Swing Golf specification table for the Callaway Epic Forged iron set (2ndswing.com) — supplied every loft, lie, length, offset and both swing-weight columns, plus the two stock shafts. The D2 figures recorded here are the SteelFiber FC build; the Tensei AV Silver build measures D0.
- Note on offset: the source publishes offset in millimetres (3.8 mm down to 1.9 mm), converted to inches here.
- prnewswire.com 'Callaway Golf Announces Epic Forged Irons, Epic Flash Hybrids And Epic Star Family Of Products' — announced 16 July 2019, at retail from 2 August 2019.
- Note: bounce is omitted — the source table did not carry a bounce column. Confidence is medium.
- Status check, 29 September 2026: year_discontinued is 2020. No successor. callawaygolf.com's iron sets page lists the Epic Forged on 30 June 2020 and not on 26 September 2020 (callawaygolf.com, archived 2020).
