About the Callaway Quantum Max
Quantum Max is the core game-improvement iron in Callaway's 2026 Quantum family, which replaced the Elyte line. Callaway announced the family on 16 January 2026 and the irons reached US retail on 27 February 2026. The head is a two-piece design whose Modern 360° Undercut cavity fully exposes the undercut for perimeter weighting and added face flex, with urethane microspheres for sound and a next-generation Ai-optimized face. Lofts carry over from the Elyte exactly — 29 degrees at the 7-iron and a 42-degree pitching wedge — and the chart runs 4-iron through a 55-degree sand wedge in right and left hand. An HL spec is offered that adds two degrees of loft at every head (31-degree 7-iron) for higher launch; the figures below are the standard spec, men's steel build.

Frequently asked questions
What is the loft of a Callaway Quantum Max 7-iron?
The Callaway Quantum Max 7-iron has a loft of 29 degrees, a lie of 62.25 degrees and a steel-shaft length of 37.25 inches. The optional HL spec raises the 7-iron loft to 31 degrees.
When did the Callaway Quantum Max irons come out?
Callaway announced the Quantum family on 16 January 2026 and the irons reached US retail on 27 February 2026, replacing the Elyte line.
Are Quantum Max lofts different from the Elyte?
No — the chart is identical, 19 degrees at the 4-iron through a 42-degree pitching wedge and 55-degree sand wedge. Lie angles moved fractionally flatter (62.25 against 62.5 at the 7-iron) and the sand wedge is now 35.25 inches rather than 35.5.
What is the difference between the Quantum Max and Quantum Max OS irons?
They share the same loft, lie and length chart. The Max OS is the super-game-improvement version with an oversized head and noticeably more offset — 4.80 mm at the 7-iron against 3.71 mm — and both are offered in an HL spec two degrees weaker throughout.
Where it sits in the lineup
Introduced in 2026, the Callaway Quantum Max is a current game improvement set in the Callaway range, with no replacement announced. It replaced the Callaway Elyte. New sets are built to the standard lofts, lies and lengths in the chart above, though a fitting can move any of them — so confirm the numbers on the order sheet. Used sets appear on eBay, 2nd Swing and Golf Avenue, and should be measured against this chart before buying.
