About the Cleveland RTX 6 ZipCore
The RTX 6 ZipCore is the sixth and final generation of Cleveland's RTX tour wedge line, announced on 9 January 2023 and at retail from 20 January. It nearly doubled the ZipCore low-density hosel material of the 2020 original, with the core geometry tuned per loft, and introduced the HydraZip face — Rotex milling plus loft-specific laser milling and face blasting for wet-condition spin — alongside the sharpest UltiZip grooves to that point. The matrix is deliberately simple: 16 loft/bounce/grind combinations from 46 to 60 degrees across four grinds, each at a fixed bounce. Cleveland retired the RTX name with this generation; the RTZ replaced it in January 2025. Finishes were Tour Satin, Black Satin and the raw Tour Rack.
Grind options
The sole grinds this model is sold in, with the lofts each one is available at.
- LOW Grind58°, 60°
- A C-shaped sole at 6 degrees of bounce for the 58 and 60 degree lob wedges — for shallow attack angles and players who take small divots.
- LOW+ Grind54°, 56°
- New for this generation at 54 and 56 degrees — the Low's C-shape with a touch more bounce in the leading edge, at 8 degrees, for better sand performance.
- MID Grind46°, 48°, 50°, 52°, 54°, 56°, 58°, 60°
- A traditional V-shaped sole at 10 degrees of bounce, offered at every loft in the lineup — the all-conditions default.
- FULL Grind54°, 56°, 58°, 60°
- The highest-bounce sole at 12 degrees, for the 54 to 60 degree models — built for rough, bunkers, softer conditions and steeper attack angles.

Frequently asked questions
What lofts does the Cleveland RTX 6 ZipCore come in?
The RTX 6 ZipCore was sold from 46 to 60 degrees in 2-degree steps — 16 loft, bounce and grind combinations.
What grinds does the Cleveland RTX 6 ZipCore offer?
Four, each at a fixed bounce: MID (10 degrees, every loft), FULL (12 degrees, 54-60), the C-shaped LOW (6 degrees, 58-60) and the new LOW+ (8 degrees, 54-56).
Is the Cleveland RTX 6 ZipCore still in production?
No — Cleveland retired the RTX name with this generation and replaced it with the RTZ in January 2025, so the used and closeout market is the source.
What is the difference between the RTX 6 LOW and LOW+ grinds?
Both use the C-shaped sole. The LOW carries 6 degrees of bounce at 58 and 60 degrees; the LOW+, new for this generation at 54 and 56 degrees, adds a little more bounce at the leading edge for 8 degrees, aimed at better bunker performance.
Finding one used
The Cleveland RTX 6 ZipCore ran from 2023 to 2025 and is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search the used listings on eBay. Check the loft and bounce against the chart above before buying used — wedges are routinely bent from standard, and worn grooves cost spin long before a wedge looks worn.

- Note: club lengths are omitted because retailer listings disagree on the measuring basis — Cleveland re-based its published lengths with the 2025 RTZ, so RTX 6 figures are not comparable across sources.
