Lofts are the stamped stock options for each head, factory standard. The hosel chart below shows how far each can be adjusted from its stamped loft.

Length note: Lie figures are the standard (neutral) FutureFit33 setting; every head can be set up to 2° flatter or more upright.

Hosel adjustment chart

FutureFit33 · loft ±2° · 33 settings.

Lie adjusts ±2° from stock, independently of loft — a Cobra first. The SmartPad sole keeps the face visually square at address in every setting.

FutureFit33 works through two dials — an A-H ring and a 1-8 ring — whose 64 combinations collapse to 33 unique loft/lie settings, with A1 the neutral stock position. Cobra publishes the code-by-code degree chart only as a graphic reached from a QR code on the hosel, so no position-by-position table is reproduced here. Each stock loft covers ±2°: the X 3-wood plays 13-17°, the 5-wood 16-20°, the 7-wood 19-23°.

About the Cobra DS-ADAPT

The DS-ADAPT fairway woods launched in January 2025 with the DS-ADAPT drivers, and brought Cobra's FutureFit33 hosel — 33 settings with loft and lie independently adjustable ±2° — to the whole fairway line. The X is the all-round core head, the titanium LS the low-spin tour model with 60 g of heel and toe tungsten, and the MAX the draw-biased forgiveness model in half-degree-weaker lofts out to a 24.5° 9-wood. The OPTM fairways replaced the line in January 2026.

Frequently asked questions

What lofts do the Cobra DS-ADAPT fairway woods come in?

The DS-ADAPT X comes in 15, 16.5, 18 and 21 degrees; the titanium LS in 14.5, 16 and 17; and the MAX in 15.5, 18.5, 21.5 and 24.5.

How does the DS-ADAPT fairway adjustment work?

Every head uses Cobra's FutureFit33 hosel: 33 settings that move loft and lie independently up to 2 degrees each way, so a 15 degree 3-wood plays anywhere from 13 to 17 degrees. Cobra publishes the code-by-code chart via a QR code on the hosel.

What is the difference between the DS-ADAPT X and LS fairway woods?

The X is the steel all-rounder on upright 58 degree lies. The LS is a titanium, low-spin tour head with 60 grams of heel and toe tungsten, stronger lofts (14.5 to 17 degrees) and much flatter 56 degree lies.

Buying one

Cobra has since introduced the Cobra OPTM above it in the range, so the DS-ADAPT is at the end of its retail life rather than fully retired — closeout stock still turns up at retailers, and fairway woods one generation back are the sweet spot of the used market. Before buying used, check the stamped loft against the chart above and ask which hosel setting it is in — an adjustable fairway wood may be set a degree or more away from the number on the sole, and sleeve adapters are brand- and generation-specific.
