MyFly8 with SmartPad · loft ±1.5° · 8 settings.

There is no independent lie adjustment; the three Draw positions add draw bias at their loft instead. The SmartPad sole keeps the face visually square at address in all eight settings.

The same chart as the Darkspeed drivers. "Draw" positions play the same loft with added draw bias (Cobra does not publish the exact face or lie delta). On the X 3-wood the settings run 13.5° to 16.5°; on the LS 3+, 11.5° to 14.5°; on the MAX 3-wood, 14° to 17°.

About the Cobra Darkspeed

The Darkspeed fairway woods launched in January 2024 with the Darkspeed drivers. The X is the core all-round head in four lofts including a 16.5° high-flight 3HF; the titanium LS is the low-spin tour model, sold down to a 13° 3+ wood; and the MAX is the forgiveness head with adjustable back and heel weights for draw bias. All three carry Cobra's eight-position MyFly8 hosel with SmartPad. The DS-ADAPT fairways replaced the line in January 2025.

Frequently asked questions

What lofts do the Cobra Darkspeed fairway woods come in?

The Darkspeed X comes in 15, 16.5, 18 and 21 degrees; the titanium LS in 13 (3+), 14.5 and 17.5; and the MAX in 15.5, 18.5 and 21.5.

Is the Cobra Darkspeed fairway wood adjustable?

Yes — all three heads use Cobra's eight-position MyFly8 hosel with SmartPad, moving loft 1.5 degrees down to 1.5 up, with three draw positions. The MAX also has interchangeable back and heel weights.

What is the Darkspeed 3+ wood?

The 13 degree titanium LS head — a strong-lofted, low-spin 3-wood built as a tee club for fast swings, adjustable from 11.5 to 14.5 degrees.

Buying one

Cobra has since introduced the Cobra DS-ADAPT above it in the range, so the Darkspeed is at the end of its retail life rather than fully retired — closeout stock still turns up at retailers, and fairway woods one generation back are the sweet spot of the used market. Before buying used, check the stamped loft against the chart above and ask which hosel setting it is in — an adjustable fairway wood may be set a degree or more away from the number on the sole, and sleeve adapters are brand- and generation-specific.
