Lofts are the stamped stock options for each head, factory standard. The hosel chart below shows how far each can be adjusted from its stamped loft.
Hosel adjustment chart
FutureFit33 · loft ±2° · 33 settings.
Lie adjusts ±2° from stock, independently of loft. The SmartPad sole keeps the face visually square at address in every setting.
FutureFit33 works through two dials — an A-H ring and a 1-8 ring — whose 64 combinations collapse to 33 unique loft/lie settings, with A1 the neutral stock position. The valid codes are A1-A8, B1, B3, B4, B6, B7, C1, C2, C4, C7, C8, D1, D2, D3, D6, D8, E1, F1-F4, G1, G3, G4, H1 and H4. Cobra publishes the code-by-code degree chart only as a graphic reached from a QR code on the hosel: outer-ring codes make the biggest loft and lie moves, inner codes shift them by tenths of a degree, and the chart is laid out by the miss it corrects (a high-right miss points to B6, whose corrective opposite is F2). Each stock loft covers roughly ±2°: a 9° head plays 7-11°, a 10.5° head 8.5-12.5°, a 12° head 10-14°.

About the Cobra OPTM
OPTM is Cobra's 2026 driver family, at retail from 20 January 2026. It keeps the FutureFit33 hosel introduced on the DS-ADAPT — 33 unique loft and lie combinations — and adds AI-driven "Product of Inertia" head shaping meant to reduce how much the head twists on off-centre strikes, with the Max-K claimed at around 10K combined MOI. The four heads are the low-spin LS with movable weights, the all-round X, the max-forgiveness Max-K with a fixed 11 g back weight, and the draw-biased Max-D. All run the H.O.T. variable-thickness face with fifteen machine-learned hot zones.
Head variants
The heads this family is sold in, with each one’s stock loft options.
- OPTM LS9°, 10.5°
- The low-spin, low-launch compact-shape head with movable weights, for faster swings (roughly 105 mph and up) that spin the ball too much and want a penetrating, workable flight.
- OPTM X9°, 10.5°
- The balanced all-rounder — traditional shape with symmetrical perimeter weighting, mixing ball speed and forgiveness for mid-handicappers.
- OPTM Max-K9°, 10.5°, 12°
- Cobra's highest-MOI driver yet (~10K claimed), with a fixed 11 g back weight and neutral bias — the straight-and-stable head with the highest launch and spin in the line.
- OPTM Max-D10.5°, 12°
- The draw-biased head with internal heel-biased mass and a slightly closed look at address for chronic slicers; a 40 g Vanquish shaft option suits slower swings.

Frequently asked questions
What lofts does the Cobra OPTM come in?
The OPTM LS and OPTM X come in 9 and 10.5 degrees, the OPTM Max-K in 9, 10.5 and 12, and the OPTM Max-D in 10.5 and 12. With the FutureFit33 hosel each head adjusts a further 2 degrees either way.
How does the OPTM's FutureFit33 hosel work?
Two dials — a letter ring A-H and a number ring 1-8 — give 33 unique settings that move loft and lie up to 2 degrees each, independently. A1 is the neutral stock setting, and Cobra's chart (reached from a QR code on the hosel) is organised by the miss you want to correct.
Which OPTM driver is the most forgiving?
The OPTM Max-K — Cobra claims roughly 10,000 g·cm² of combined MOI from its fixed 11 gram back weight and carbon construction, making it the brand's most stable driver to date. The Max-D trades some of that stability for built-in draw bias.
Does the FutureFit33 hosel keep the face square?
Yes — Cobra's SmartPad sole is designed so the face sits visually square at address in all 33 settings, unlike conventional sleeves where adding loft visibly closes the face.
Where it sits in the lineup
Introduced in 2026, the Cobra OPTM is the current Cobra driver line as of October 2026, with no replacement announced. It replaced the Cobra DS-ADAPT. New heads are sold in the stock lofts charted above; the hosel settings extend each head beyond its stamped loft, so a loft between two stock options is usually reachable from either. Before buying used, check the stamped loft against the chart above and ask which hosel setting it is in — an adjustable driver may be set a degree or more away from the number on the sole, and sleeve adapters are brand- and generation-specific.
