What the differences mean

The Quantum family is the broader line: 5 heads against 4 — Std, X, Triple Diamond, and Max Fast for the Elyte, Max, Triple Diamond, Triple Diamond Max, Max D, and Max Fast for the Quantum.

Stock loft coverage is identical: both run 8° to 12° across the same 4 stock lofts.

Adjustability is a wash: both use the same hosel system (OptiFit hosel, −1° to +2° of loft, 8 settings), so a given head reaches the same effective loft window in either generation.

The Quantum arrived 1 year after the Elyte as its replacement. Driver generations usually carry over the loft ladder and move the technology — face design, adjustability, head options — so the older family is the value buy on the used market while the newer one holds retail price.

Which should you choose?

The Quantum is the newer generation, so it carries the current face technology and full retail availability; the Elyte is the value buy used or on closeout. If the head and loft you want is only in one lineup, that decides it — otherwise the newer family is the default at equal prices, and the older one the smarter buy at a real discount.

Both families are charted in full on their own pages: Callaway Elyte driver specs and Callaway Quantum driver specs.
