Lofts are the stamped stock options for each head, factory standard. The hosel chart below shows how far each can be adjusted from its stamped loft.
Hosel adjustment chart
OptiFit hosel · loft −1° to +2° · 8 settings.
The lie cog has two positions: N (neutral, the stated lie) and D (draw, a more upright lie — Callaway does not publish the degree change). Changing loft re-orients the head on the shaft, so lower settings sit slightly open and higher settings slightly closed at address.
| Setting | Loft | Lie |
|---|---|---|
| −1 / N | −1° | neutral |
| −1 / D | −1° | draw (more upright) |
| S / N | std | neutral |
| S / D | std | draw (more upright) |
| +1 / N | +1° | neutral |
| +1 / D | +1° | draw (more upright) |
| +2 / N | +2° | neutral |
| +2 / D | +2° | draw (more upright) |
The two-cog OptiFit design is unchanged from the Paradym through the Ai Smoke, Elyte and Quantum, so the chart reads the same across all four generations. On a 10.5° head the four loft positions play 9.5°, 10.5°, 11.5° and 12.5°.

About the Callaway Quantum
Quantum is Callaway's 2026 driver family, on pre-order from 16 January and at retail from 13 February 2026. Its headline is the Tri-Force Face: a titanium striking layer roughly 14% thinner than the Elyte's, bonded to a carbon-fibre backing by Callaway's "Poly Mesh" polymer, with the Triple Diamond heads carried on a 360° carbon chassis. There is no plain "Quantum" head — the family is five variants: the high-MOI Max, the compact 450 cc Triple Diamond, the 460 cc Triple Diamond Max for fast players who need a little more spin and stability, the draw-biased Max D, and the ultralight Max Fast, which unlike its Ai Smoke ancestor keeps the adjustable OptiFit hosel.
Head variants
The heads this family is sold in, with each one’s stock loft options.
- Quantum Max9°, 10.5°, 12°
- The core high-MOI head for the broadest range of players, with a 10 g adjustable back weight (neutral or draw) plus a front port. The 12° head is left-hand custom only; a women's build runs 1.25 inches shorter with the Eldio 40 L shaft.
- Quantum Triple Diamond8°, 9°, 10.5°
- The compact tour head for high-speed, high-spin players — more neutral at address than past Triple Diamonds, with a movable rear-heel weight that can shift toward the toe for fade bias. 8° is right-hand only.
- Quantum Triple Diamond Max9°, 10.5°
- The Triple Diamond shape and weighting scaled up to 460 cc — for fast players who want the TD's flight with slightly more spin and forgiveness.
- Quantum Max D9°, 10.5°, 12°
- The draw-bias head, built with internal heel-rear weighting rather than a movable draw weight. The 12° head is right-hand only.
- Quantum Max Fast10.5°, 12°
- The ultralight build — 40-gram shaft and light grip — for slower swing speeds, and the first Max Fast generation to keep the adjustable OptiFit hosel. Right-hand only.

Frequently asked questions
What lofts does the Callaway Quantum come in?
Quantum Max and Max D come in 9, 10.5 and 12 degrees, the Triple Diamond in 8, 9 and 10.5, the Triple Diamond Max in 9 and 10.5, and the Max Fast in 10.5 and 12. There is no plain 'Quantum' head — those five variants are the family.
What is the Quantum adjustment chart?
Quantum uses Callaway's two-cog OptiFit hosel: four loft positions (−1, stated, +1 and +2 degrees) times two lie positions (Neutral and Draw) for eight settings. On a 10.5 degree head that spans 9.5 to 12.5 degrees.
Which Quantum driver should a slicer buy?
The Quantum Max D is the dedicated draw head, with heel-rear internal weighting and a more upright 59 degree lie. The Quantum Max in its draw weight-and-hosel settings is the milder alternative that keeps more adjustability.
Is the Quantum Max Fast adjustable?
Yes — unlike the 2024 Ai Smoke Max Fast, which had a glued hosel, the Quantum Max Fast keeps the full eight-setting OptiFit hosel while still using a 40 gram shaft and light grip.
Where it sits in the lineup
Introduced in 2026, the Callaway Quantum is the current Callaway driver line as of October 2026, with no replacement announced. It replaced the Callaway Elyte. New heads are sold in the stock lofts charted above; the hosel settings extend each head beyond its stamped loft, so a loft between two stock options is usually reachable from either. Before buying used, check the stamped loft against the chart above and ask which hosel setting it is in — an adjustable driver may be set a degree or more away from the number on the sole, and sleeve adapters are brand- and generation-specific.
