What the differences mean

Both families are sold in 3 heads — Std, X, and Max Fast for the Elyte, Max, Max OS, and Max Fast for the Quantum.

The Elyte is sold from 18° to 39°, the Quantum from 18° to 34°. Only the Elyte has a stock 35° and 39° option. Only the Quantum has a stock 20°, 28°, 30°, 32°, 33°, and 34° option.

The hosels differ: the Elyte uses OptiFit hosel, −1° to +2° of loft, 8 settings; the Quantum uses OptiFit 4, 7 loft/lie configurations of loft. The full setting-by-setting charts are on each model's own page.

The Quantum arrived 1 year after the Elyte as its replacement. Hybrid generations usually carry over the loft ladder and move the technology — face design, adjustability, head options — so the older family is the value buy on the used market while the newer one holds retail price.

Which should you choose?

The Quantum is the newer generation, so it carries the current face technology and full retail availability; the Elyte is the value buy used or on closeout. If the head and loft you want is only in one lineup, that decides it — otherwise the newer family is the default at equal prices, and the older one the smarter buy at a real discount.

Both families are charted in full on their own pages: Callaway Elyte hybrid specs and Callaway Quantum hybrid specs.
