What the differences mean
The Cleveland RTZ offers the wider selection: 20 loft/bounce/grind combinations against 17 for the Cobra KING. Each is ground 4 ways — V, D, W, and T for the Cobra KING, LOW, MID, FULL, and ADAPT for the Cleveland RTZ.
The Cobra KING is sold from 48° to 60°, the Cleveland RTZ from 46° to 64°. Only the Cleveland RTZ comes in 46°, 62°, and 64°.
The scoring lofts are where bounce and grind choice matters most: at 56° both offer 3 options; at 58° both offer 4 options; at 60° both offer 4 options. More options at a degree means more ways to match the sole to your turf and swing, which is what a wedge fitting actually selects.
Both lines were introduced in 2025, so this is a choice between two current designs rather than an upgrade.
Which should you choose?
Neither is the better wedge outright — both are current tour-style designs. The Cleveland RTZ offers the wider option matrix, which matters if you want an unusual bounce or grind at your loft; otherwise choose on feel, finish and price at the combination you actually play.
Both option charts are reproduced in full on their own pages: Cobra KING specs and Cleveland RTZ specs.
