Lofts are the stamped stock options for each head, factory standard. The hosel chart below shows how far each can be adjusted from its stamped loft.

Length note: 46 inches is the standard build with the stock ALTA CB Blue 50; builds with the Tour 2.0 Chrome/Black, Tensei 1K Black or Denali Red are 45.5 inches. Ping publishes lie as the average across the five neutral-lie hosel positions.

Hosel adjustment chart

Trajectory Tuning 2.0 · loft ±1.5° · 8 settings.

Three flat positions sit up to 3° flatter than standard; there is no upright setting. Lowering loft opens the face slightly and adding loft closes it, as on any hosel-based adjuster.

The same eight-position chart has carried unchanged through the G425, G430 and G440 generations, so sleeves and settings interchange. The ±1.5° "big" settings exist only at the standard lie; the flat positions offer 0 and ±1° of loft.

About the Ping G440

The G440 is Ping's 2025 driver family, at US retail from 30 January 2025. It trims weight with a shallower face, a composite Carbonfly Wrap crown and a new "Free Hosel" design, then spends the savings on a movable tungsten backweight in every head. The Max is the core high-MOI model, the LST a notably larger 450 cc low-spin head than past LSTs, and the SFT the draw model with Draw and Draw+ weight positions worth up to 20 yards of correction. In January 2026 Ping added the G440 K — its highest-MOI adjustable driver yet, a 10K-class head with a 32 g CG-shifter backweight and a dual Carbonfly Wrap crown and sole — effectively the successor to the fixed-weight G430 Max 10K. High-launch (HL) builds of the Max, SFT and K pair lighter backweights with the ALTA Quick 35/45 shafts.

Head variants

The heads this family is sold in, with each one’s stock loft options.

G440 Max9°, 10.5°, 12°
The core high-MOI head for most players, with a 29 g movable tungsten backweight in Draw, Neutral and Fade positions. Head weight 203 g, swing weight D3.
G440 LST9°, 10.5°
The low-spin head for faster swings — at 450 cc, much larger than earlier LSTs — with the same 29 g three-position backweight. Head weight 205 g, swing weight D4.
G440 SFT9°, 10.5°
The draw-biased slice corrector: a 23 g backweight with Draw (about a 13-yard bias) and Draw+ (about 20 yards) positions. Head weight 199 g, swing weight D0.
G440 K9°, 10.5°, 12°
Added January 2026: Ping's highest-MOI driver, a 10K-class head that keeps movable weighting — a 32 g tungsten CG shifter in Neutral, Draw and Fade positions — under a dual Carbonfly Wrap carbon crown and sole, on the largest front-to-back profile in the line.

Frequently asked questions

What lofts does the Ping G440 come in?

The G440 Max and G440 K come in 9, 10.5 and 12 degrees; the G440 LST and G440 SFT in 9 and 10.5.

What is the G440 adjustment chart?

Ping's Trajectory Tuning 2.0 hosel has eight settings: standard, +1, +1.5, −1 and −1.5 degrees of loft at the standard lie, plus flat versions of standard, +1 and −1 that sit up to 3 degrees flatter. There is no upright setting.

What is the difference between the G440 Max and G440 K?

Both are 460 cc forgiveness heads with movable weights. The K, added in January 2026, is the 10K-MOI model — a larger front-to-back profile, a heavier 32 gram CG shifter and a carbon sole as well as crown — while the Max is the lighter, slightly more conventional core head.

Why is the G440 46 inches long?

Only with the stock counter-balanced ALTA CB Blue 50 shaft, whose balance point lets Ping build longer without the swing weight ballooning. With the Tour 2.0, Tensei 1K or Denali Red shafts the standard build is 45.5 inches.

Where it sits in the lineup

Introduced in 2025, the Ping G440 is the current Ping driver line as of October 2026, with no replacement announced. It replaced the Ping G430. New heads are sold in the stock lofts charted above; the hosel settings extend each head beyond its stamped loft, so a loft between two stock options is usually reachable from either. Before buying used, check the stamped loft against the chart above and ask which hosel setting it is in — an adjustable driver may be set a degree or more away from the number on the sole, and sleeve adapters are brand- and generation-specific.
