Lofts are the stamped stock options for each head, factory standard. The hosel chart below shows how far each can be adjusted from its stamped loft.

Length note: 45.75 inches is the standard build with the stock ALTA CB Black 55; builds with the Tour 2.0, Kai'Li White or HZRDUS shafts are 45.25 inches, and the HL builds run 46 inches. Ping publishes lie as the average across the five neutral-lie hosel positions.

Hosel adjustment chart

Trajectory Tuning 2.0 · loft ±1.5° · 8 settings.

Three flat positions sit up to 3° flatter than standard; there is no upright setting. Lowering loft opens the face slightly and adding loft closes it, as on any hosel-based adjuster.

The same eight-position chart has carried unchanged through the G425, G430 and G440 generations, so sleeves and settings interchange. The ±1.5° "big" settings exist only at the standard lie; the flat positions offer 0 and ±1° of loft.

About the Ping G430

The G430 is Ping's 2023-2024 driver family. The Max is the mainline high-MOI head with a 25 g movable tungsten backweight; the 440 cc LST introduced Ping's Carbonfly Wrap composite crown and is the low-spin pick for fast swings; and the SFT is the draw model, sold in 10.5° only with Draw and Draw+ weight settings worth up to about 20 yards of right-to-left correction. In January 2024 Ping added the G430 Max 10K — its first driver over 10,000 g·cm² of combined MOI, achieved with a fixed 28 g backweight and the carbon crown. High-launch (HL) builds across the Max, SFT and 10K paired lighter backweights with ALTA Quick shafts at 46 inches. The G440 replaced the family in 2025.

Frequently asked questions

What lofts does the Ping G430 come in?

The G430 Max and Max 10K come in 9, 10.5 and 12 degrees; the G430 LST in 9 and 10.5; and the G430 SFT in 10.5 only.

What is the G430 adjustment chart?

Ping's Trajectory Tuning 2.0 hosel has eight settings: standard, +1, +1.5, −1 and −1.5 degrees of loft at the standard lie, plus flat versions of standard, +1 and −1 that sit up to 3 degrees flatter. There is no upright setting.

What is the difference between the G430 Max and G430 Max 10K?

The Max has a 25 gram movable backweight with Draw, Neutral and Fade positions; the Max 10K trades the movable weight for a fixed 28 gram one and a carbon crown, pushing combined MOI past 10,000 g·cm² — more forgiveness, less adjustability.

Is the Ping G430 still in production?

The G440 replaced it in January 2025, so the G430 is a closeout and used-market buy. Its hosel chart and sleeve are identical to the G425 and G440, so shafts interchange across all three generations.

Buying one

Ping has since introduced the Ping G440 above it in the range, so the G430 is at the end of its retail life rather than fully retired — closeout stock still turns up at retailers, and drivers one generation back are the sweet spot of the used market. Before buying used, check the stamped loft against the chart above and ask which hosel setting it is in — an adjustable driver may be set a degree or more away from the number on the sole, and sleeve adapters are brand- and generation-specific.
