About the Ping Rapture V2
The Rapture V2 is the 2008 second generation of Ping's premium multi-material line, announced in late summer 2008 with retail into 2009, when it took a Golf Digest Hot List silver medal in the maximum-forgiveness class. The three-part head — stainless steel body, titanium face, tungsten sole weight — returns with lofts strengthened two degrees over the original Rapture, to 32 degrees at the 7-iron and 45 at the pitching wedge, for more distance from the same high-launch weighting. The catalogued range is 3-iron through lob wedge. Lies below are the BLACK (standard) colour code of Ping's dot fitting system.

Frequently asked questions
What is the loft of a Ping Rapture V2 7-iron?
The Ping Rapture V2 7-iron has a loft of 32 degrees, with a 62.25-degree standard lie and a 36.75-inch steel-shaft length.
How do the Rapture V2 lofts compare with the original Rapture?
They are two degrees stronger through the set — a 32-degree 7-iron against 34, and a 45-degree pitching wedge against 46 — which, combined with the low tungsten weighting, was Ping's route to more distance at the same launch.
What are Ping Rapture V2 irons made of?
Each head is a three-part multi-material design: a stainless steel body, a titanium face and a tungsten sole weight, giving a high moment of inertia in an oversize head.
Finding a used set
The Ping Rapture V2 ran from 2008 to 2010 and is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search eBay, 2nd Swing, Golf Avenue and the PGA Tour Superstore trade-in listings, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.

- mygolfspy.com and golfmonthly.com Rapture V2 launch coverage (family announced August-September 2008, so year_introduced is 2008 on the announcement convention; retailers list it as a 2009 model); Golf Digest 2009 Hot List silver in the super-game-improvement class
