Hosel adjustment chart
PXG adjustable shaft adapter · loft ±1.5° · 8 settings.
The Standard "Dot" is the most upright position; every other setting flattens lie by 0.5° to 3° relative to it. There is no upright-beyond-Dot setting. PXG markets the upright Dot setting for draw bias and the flattest "PXG Standard" setting for fade bias; loft changes shift effective face angle at address as on any adapter.
| Setting | Loft | Lie |
|---|---|---|
| Standard (Dot) | std | std (most upright) |
| Small Plus | +1° | 0.5° flat |
| Big Plus | +1.5° | 1.5° flat |
| Flat Plus | +1° | 2.5° flat |
| PXG Standard | std | 3° flat |
| Flat Minus | −1° | 2.5° flat |
| Big Minus | −1.5° | 1.5° flat |
| Small Minus | −1° | 0.5° flat |
PXG has used the same universal driver/fairway adapter across generations; the chart is PXG's published one. The stated lie in the chart above is measured at the Standard "Dot" position.

About the PXG Lightning
Lightning is PXG's flagship driver family, at retail from 2 December 2025 and carrying the brand into 2026. Against the Black Ops it strips weight — PXG claims up to 84% more carbon in the body — and zone-tunes the face ("Frequency Tuned Face") for ball speed. Four heads cover the range: the Max 10K+ with combined MOI past 10,000 g·cm², the compact low-spin Tour, the new Tour Mid for players who sat between the old Black Ops and its Tour-1, and the 189-gram Max Lite for moderate swing speeds. All but the Max Lite carry three weight ports with 2.5-20 g swappable weights; PXG sells the line shaft-agnostic, with a large no-upcharge catalogue chosen at fitting rather than one headline stock shaft.
Head variants
The heads this family is sold in, with each one’s stock loft options.
- Lightning Max 10K+9°, 10.5°, 12°
- The max-forgiveness flagship with combined MOI over 10,000 g·cm² — higher launch with Tour-Mid-like spin. Three weight ports: two 2.5 g front and a 15 g back weight stock, swappable from 2.5 to 20 g.
- Lightning Tour8°, 9°, 10.5°
- The most compact, lowest-spinning and lowest-launching head for high-speed players, with a shorter front-to-back profile and front-biased stock weighting (two 7.5 g front, 2.5 g back). Left-hand stock is 9° only.
- Lightning Tour Mid8°, 9°, 10.5°

Frequently asked questions
What lofts does the PXG Lightning come in?
The Lightning Max 10K+ comes in 9, 10.5 and 12 degrees; the Tour and Tour Mid in 8, 9 and 10.5; and the Max Lite in 10.5 and 11.5. The adapter extends each head 1.5 degrees either way.
How do you adjust a PXG Lightning driver?
The eight-position PXG adapter moves loft up to 1.5 degrees either way. Its Standard 'Dot' is the most upright (draw-biased) setting; the other seven settings flatten lie by 0.5 to 3 degrees, with the flattest 'PXG Standard' position serving as the fade-bias option.
What is the difference between the Lightning Tour and Tour Mid?
Both share the 8-10.5 degree loft menu. The Tour is the most compact, lowest-spinning head with front-biased weighting and a flatter 59 degree lie; the Tour Mid keeps low spin but moves 15 grams to the back for more forgiveness — the slot between the old Black Ops and its Tour-1.
Does the PXG Lightning have a stock shaft?
Not in the usual sense — PXG sells shaft-agnostic, with a wide catalogue of no-upcharge shafts in L through X flexes chosen at fitting and premium options at an upcharge, so the 'stock' build varies by retailer.
Where it sits in the lineup
Introduced in 2025, the PXG Lightning is the current PXG driver line as of October 2026, with no replacement announced. It replaced the PXG Black Ops. New heads are sold in the stock lofts charted above; the hosel settings extend each head beyond its stamped loft, so a loft between two stock options is usually reachable from either. Before buying used, check the stamped loft against the chart above and ask which hosel setting it is in — an adjustable driver may be set a degree or more away from the number on the sole, and sleeve adapters are brand- and generation-specific.
