About the TaylorMade rac LT

The rac LT was the players cavityback in TaylorMade's rac range, sitting between the rac MB blade and the oversize rac OS. It uses a thin topline, minimal offset and a tour-cambered sole, with a 16-gram Tuned Performance Cartridge relocating weight to the perimeter and rac Feel Pockets managing impact vibration. Lofts are traditional for a players iron, with a 35-degree 7-iron and a 47-degree pitching wedge, and the stock range runs from a 2-iron to a sand wedge. Specs below are the men's standard steel-shaft build.

Frequently asked questions

What is the loft of a TaylorMade rac LT 7-iron?

The TaylorMade rac LT 7-iron has a loft of 35 degrees, with a 62.5-degree lie and a 36.75-inch steel-shaft length.

What is the difference between the rac LT and the rac OS?

The rac LT is the players cavityback: a smaller head with a thin topline, minimal offset and traditional lofts such as a 35-degree 7-iron. The rac OS is the oversize game-improvement model with generous offset and lofts two degrees stronger, at 33 degrees in the 7-iron.

What is the pitching wedge loft on the rac LT?

The rac LT pitching wedge is 47 degrees, with a 51-degree approach wedge and a 55-degree sand wedge available. There was no stock lob wedge in the set.

Finding a used set

The TaylorMade rac LT is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search eBay, 2nd Swing, Golf Avenue and the PGA Tour Superstore trade-in listings, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.
