About the TaylorMade TP MB
The Tour Preferred MB was the muscleback blade in TaylorMade's 2014 Tour Preferred range, sitting below the MC cavity and the CB in forgiveness. It is precisely forged from soft 1025 carbon steel, with a thin topline that runs seamlessly into the hosel, milled grooves and a precision-shaped sole with reduced camber requested by tour players. The set is a traditional 3-iron through pitching wedge with a 35-degree 7-iron and a 47-degree pitching wedge, roughly 2 to 3 degrees weaker than the companion TP CB. Specs below are the men's standard steel-shaft build.

Frequently asked questions
What is the loft of a TaylorMade TP MB 7-iron?
The TaylorMade TP MB 7-iron has a loft of 35 degrees, with a 62.5-degree lie and a 36.75-inch steel-shaft length.
Are the TaylorMade TP MB irons forged?
Yes. The 2014 Tour Preferred MB is a one-piece muscleback forged from soft 1025 carbon steel, with grooves milled after forging and a hand-polished satin nickel-chrome finish.
What is the pitching wedge loft on the TP MB?
The TP MB pitching wedge is 47 degrees, which is traditional for a blade and about 2 to 5 degrees weaker than a game-improvement pitching wedge of the same era.
Finding a used set
The TaylorMade TP MB is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search eBay, 2nd Swing, Golf Avenue and the PGA Tour Superstore trade-in listings, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.

- 8-iron length: the 2014 sell sheet prints 35.25 inches, which breaks the 0.5-inch progression and is a typographical error; 36.25 inches is used here, matching the identical length ladder on TaylorMade's earlier official Tour Preferred MB sheet (2011 TaylorMade Irons catalog p.13, taylormadegolf.com/docs/productspecs/Tour_Preferred_Irons.pdf)
