About the XXIO XXIO Forged
XXIO Forged is Dunlop's attempt to put the XXIO name into a better player's hands: a forged S25C soft carbon steel body with an HT1770 steel face insert, a compact shape, a straight leading edge and a V-shaped sole. Lofts are moderate — 30 degrees at the 7-iron, 44 at the pitching wedge — and offset is described as moderate rather than minimal, running 3.0mm in the long irons and widening to 5.5mm in the wedges. The stock set is a six-club 5-PW, with the 4-iron, approach wedge and sand wedge sold individually.
Stock shafts
- XXIO MX-5000 — graphite
- Nippon N.S. Pro 940GH DST — steel

Finding a used set
The XXIO XXIO Forged ran from 2015 to 2017 and is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search eBay, 2nd Swing, Golf Avenue and the PGA Tour Superstore trade-in listings, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.
- qsponge.com XXIO Men's Forged iron spec listing — loft, lie, length, offset (in millimetres) and swing weight for the 4-iron through sand wedge. Offset is converted to inches here.
- golfrange.org and buffalogolfer.com press releases, 'XXIO Introduces New Forged Irons' (announced 13 March 2015, on sale 15 March 2015) — the HT1770 steel face on an S25C soft iron body, the six-club 5-PW stock set with the 4-iron, approach wedge and sand wedge sold separately, and the MX-5000 graphite / N.S. Pro 940GH DST steel stock shafts.
- Note: bounce was not published in the sources consulted and is omitted rather than estimated. XXIO has used the Forged name across more than one generation; the specification table above is the one published for the men's XXIO Forged and should be read against the 2015 release recorded here.
