Lofts are the stamped stock options for each head, factory standard. The hosel chart below shows how far each can be adjusted from its stamped loft.
Hosel adjustment chart
OptiFit hosel (Max, Triple Diamond and Max D — the Max Fast is bonded) · loft −1° to +2° · 8 settings.
The lie cog has two positions: N (neutral, the stated lie) and D (draw, a more upright lie — Callaway does not publish the degree change). Changing loft re-orients the head on the shaft, so lower settings sit slightly open and higher settings slightly closed at address.
| Setting | Loft | Lie |
|---|---|---|
| −1 / N | −1° | neutral |
| −1 / D | −1° | draw (more upright) |
| S / N | std | neutral |
| S / D | std | draw (more upright) |
| +1 / N | +1° | neutral |
| +1 / D | +1° | draw (more upright) |
| +2 / N | +2° | neutral |
| +2 / D | +2° | draw (more upright) |
The two-cog OptiFit design is unchanged from the Paradym through the Ai Smoke, Elyte and Quantum. The Max Fast is the one head of this era with no hosel adjustment at all — its loft is fixed as stamped.

About the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke
The Paradym Ai Smoke is Callaway's 2024 driver family and the first with the Ai Smart Face — a face designed by machine learning against a database of real swings, zoned into "micro deflections" that tune launch and spin by impact location. The Max is the core head, with sliding perimeter weighting claimed to move shot shape up to 19 yards; the 450 cc Triple Diamond is the low-spin tour head with 14 g of swappable front/back weighting; the Max D is the highest-MOI head of the family with fixed draw weighting; and the Max Fast is the ultralight model — notably the one driver of this era that Callaway sold with a glued, non-adjustable hosel to save weight. The Elyte replaced the family in 2025.
Head variants
The heads this family is sold in, with each one’s stock loft options.

- Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond8°, 9°, 10.5°
- The compact low-spin tour head with neutral-to-fade bias; a 14 g weight swaps between a front port (lowest spin) and a back port (more MOI). 8° is right-hand only.

- The highest-MOI head in the family, with fixed rear-heel draw weighting and the most upright lie — built for slicers.

Frequently asked questions
What lofts does the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke come in?
The Ai Smoke Max and Max D come in 9, 10.5 and 12 degrees, the Triple Diamond in 8, 9 and 10.5 (8 right-hand only), and the Max Fast in 10.5 and 12.
What is the Paradym Ai Smoke adjustment chart?
The Max, Triple Diamond and Max D use Callaway's two-cog OptiFit hosel — loft at −1, stated, +1 or +2 degrees, each in a Neutral or Draw lie, eight settings in all. The Max Fast is the exception: its hosel is bonded and not adjustable.
Is the Ai Smoke Max Fast adjustable?
No. To keep the total build ultralight, Callaway glued the Max Fast's hosel, so it plays its stamped loft only. The following Elyte and Quantum Max Fast models restored the adjustable hosel.
Is the Paradym Ai Smoke still in production?
No — the Elyte replaced it in early 2025 and the Quantum followed in 2026, so the Ai Smoke is a used-market and closeout buy, typically at a steep discount to the current line.
Buying one
Callaway has since introduced the Callaway Elyte above it in the range, so the Paradym Ai Smoke is at the end of its retail life rather than fully retired — closeout stock still turns up at retailers, and drivers one generation back are the sweet spot of the used market. Before buying used, check the stamped loft against the chart above and ask which hosel setting it is in — an adjustable driver may be set a degree or more away from the number on the sole, and sleeve adapters are brand- and generation-specific.
