Hosel adjustment chart

OptiFit 4 · loft 7 loft/lie configurations.

OptiFit 4 replaces the long-running two-cog OptiFit on the Quantum woods: a multi-cog system whose two rotating cogs each have three settings (+, − and neutral), giving seven unique loft and lie configurations with independent loft and lie movement — including, for the first time on a Callaway fairway, flat as well as upright lie settings of up to 2°. Callaway publishes the system as +/− markings rather than a degree-by-degree chart, so no settings table is reproduced here. Only the heads marked adjustable carry the hosel (generally the 3-wood, 3HL and 5-wood of each model); higher lofts are bonded.

About the Callaway Quantum

The Quantum fairway woods reached retail on 13 February 2026 with the Quantum hybrids, replacing the Elyte line. Callaway moved its tungsten Speed Wave weight to a heavier 40 g second-generation version, added a Step Sole for turf interaction, and swapped the two-cog OptiFit for the new multi-cog OptiFit 4 hosel on the adjustable heads. Five models cover the range: the core Quantum Max in seven lofts including the 20° Heavenwood, the draw-biased Quantum Max D, the ultralight Quantum Max Fast, the compact Quantum Triple Diamond tour head, and the premium full-titanium Quantum Ti.

Frequently asked questions

What lofts do the Callaway Quantum fairway woods come in?

The Quantum Max comes in 15, 16.5, 18, 21, 24 and 27 degrees plus the 20 degree Heavenwood; the Max D in 15, 16.5, 18 and 21.5; the Max Fast in 16, 19, 22 and 25; the Triple Diamond in 15, 18 and 21; and the Quantum Ti in 15 and 18.

Are the Callaway Quantum fairway woods adjustable?

The lower lofts are. The 3-wood, 3HL and 5-wood heads carry the new OptiFit 4 hosel — seven loft and lie configurations with up to 2 degrees of upright or flat lie — while the higher lofts are bonded. The Quantum Ti adds heel-toe weight adjustability.

What is the difference between the Quantum Max and Quantum Triple Diamond fairway woods?

The Max is the high-launch forgiveness head in seven lofts with 57-60 degree lies. The Triple Diamond is the compact tour head with a deeper face, much flatter 55-56 degree lies and a Ventus Black stock shaft, in three lofts.

What replaced the Callaway Elyte fairway woods?

These — the Quantum fairway woods replaced the Elyte line at retail on 13 February 2026.

Where it sits in the lineup

Introduced in 2026, the Callaway Quantum is the current Callaway fairway wood line as of October 2026, with no replacement announced. It replaced the Callaway Elyte. New heads are sold in the stock lofts charted above; the hosel settings extend each head beyond its stamped loft, so a loft between two stock options is usually reachable from either. Before buying used, check the stamped loft against the chart above and ask which hosel setting it is in — an adjustable fairway wood may be set a degree or more away from the number on the sole, and sleeve adapters are brand- and generation-specific.
