About the Cleveland Launcher XL

The Launcher XL is Cleveland's 2021 game-improvement driver — an oversized 460 cc head with 5,200 g·cm² of MOI, the Rebound Frame shared with sibling brand Srixon, and Action Mass CB, an 8-gram counterweight inside the grip end that steadies the club through impact. The adjustable core model is sold as a single 10.5°-base head whose QTS sleeve configures it from 9° to 12°; the XL Lite is a 12-gram-lighter, quarter-inch-longer fixed-hosel version for slower swings, with a Draw variant for slice fighters and a women's build. Every model offered a factory "Accuracy Build" one inch shorter with the counterweight removed. The Launcher XL2 replaced it in 2024 — Cleveland's second-to-last driver family before the brand exited metalwoods entirely in early 2026 to focus on wedges and putters.

Head variants

The heads this family is sold in, with each one’s stock loft options.

Launcher XL9°, 10.5°, 12°
The adjustable max-MOI head: one 10.5°-base head whose QTS sleeve plays it from 9° to 12° — which is why the published lie differs by configured loft (58.5° at the 9° and 12° marks, 60° at 10.5°).
Launcher XL Lite10.5°, 12°
The 12 g lighter, 0.25 inch longer version for slower swings, with a fixed (glued) hosel. The 12° head is right-hand only; a women's 12° build ran 44.25 inches at C7.
Launcher XL Lite Draw10.5°
The slice-fighting draw-bias version of the Lite — 10.5° only, fixed hosel, right-hand only.

Frequently asked questions

What lofts does the Cleveland Launcher XL come in?

The adjustable Launcher XL is one 10.5 degree base head that the QTS sleeve configures anywhere from 9 to 12 degrees in half-degree steps. The fixed-hosel XL Lite comes in 10.5 and 12 degrees and the XL Lite Draw in 10.5.

Why does the Launcher XL's lie differ by loft?

Because the three retail lofts are hosel settings of the same head: at the 10.5 degree standard mark the lie is 60 degrees, while the 9 and 12 degree marks sit 1.5 degrees flatter at 58.5.

Is the Launcher XL Lite adjustable?

No — the Lite, Lite Draw and women's builds all have glued hosels to save weight. Only the standard Launcher XL carries the adjustable QTS sleeve.

Does Cleveland still make drivers?

No. After the Launcher XL2 (2024) and HiBore XL (2025), Cleveland exited the metalwoods and irons business in early 2026 to focus on wedges and putters, so every Cleveland driver is now a used-market buy.

Finding one used

The Cleveland Launcher XL ran from 2021 to 2024 and is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search the used listings on eBay. Before buying used, check the stamped loft against the chart above and ask which hosel setting it is in — an adjustable driver may be set a degree or more away from the number on the sole, and sleeve adapters are brand- and generation-specific.
