About the Cobra T-Rail

The T-Rail is Cobra's 2019 hybrid-iron set for moderate swing speeds, reviving the split-rail Baffler sole on a fully hollow, wide-soled body with a forged 455 stainless face insert. The stock seven-club set replaces the 4-iron with a 21-degree 4-hybrid and runs 5-iron through pitching wedge, all in lightweight graphite; steel was custom-order only, and gap and sand wedge heads plus 5 and 6 hybrids were catalogued. Lofts match Cobra's game-improvement irons at 30 degrees in the 7-iron and 44 in the pitching wedge, with generous offset that tapers from 4.2 mm to 1.0 mm. Lengths and the C9 swing weight below are the stock graphite build, and offsets are converted from Cobra's published millimetre figures. A second-generation T-Rail followed in 2021.

Frequently asked questions

What is the loft of a Cobra T-Rail 7-iron?

The Cobra T-Rail 7-iron has a loft of 30 degrees, a lie of 62.5 degrees and a stock graphite length of 37.25 inches.

What clubs come in a stock Cobra T-Rail set?

The stock set is seven clubs: a 21-degree 4-hybrid plus 5-iron through pitching wedge, all with lightweight graphite shafts. Gap and sand wedges and 5 and 6 hybrids were available, and steel shafts were custom-order only.

What makes the T-Rail different from a normal iron?

Each head is fully hollow with a wide sole carrying Cobra's split Baffler rails, which lower the centre of gravity and smooth turf interaction. It is built very light, with 55-gram graphite shafts and a C9 swing weight.

Finding a used set

The Cobra T-Rail ran from 2019 to 2021 and is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search eBay, 2nd Swing, Golf Avenue and the PGA Tour Superstore trade-in listings, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.

Data compiled from:
