About the Honma TR20 P
The TR20 P replaces the TW747 P and keeps the same idea — a compact head with a deep pocket cavity, a thin fast L-cup face and tungsten in the sole — while strengthening the lofts by roughly two degrees through the set: 30 degrees at the 7-iron against the TW747 P's 28.5, and 43 at the pitching wedge. Lies are a degree upright of the previous model throughout. Honma numbers the wedges 10 and 11; they are recorded below as PW and GW.

Frequently asked questions
What is the loft of a Honma TR20 P 7-iron?
The Honma TR20 P 7-iron has a loft of 30 degrees, a lie of 62.5 degrees and a length of 37.00 inches.
How do TR20 P lofts compare with the TW747 P?
About two degrees stronger through the set — 30 degrees at the 7-iron against 28.5, and 43 at the pitching wedge against 43.5 — with lies a degree more upright at every club.
What is an L-cup face?
A face that wraps around into the sole in an L profile, so a larger area of the head deflects at impact. It is what lets a relatively compact cast head keep ball speed on strikes low on the face.
When were Honma TR20 P irons made?
2020, between the TW747 P and the TR21 X.
Finding a used set
The Honma TR20 P ran from 2020 to 2021 and is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search eBay, 2nd Swing, Golf Avenue and the PGA Tour Superstore trade-in listings, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.
- honmagolf.com T//World TR20 P product detail page (https://honmagolf.com/int/product-details/8218) — loft, lie, length and offset (in millimetres) for the #4 through #11, and the VIZARD TR20-65/75/85 and N.S. Pro Modus 3 105 stock shafts. Offset is converted to inches here.
- golfmonthly.com 'Honma TR20 P Iron Review' and pluggedingolf.com 'Honma TR20 P Irons Review' — corroborate the two-piece construction, the deep pocket cavity, the thin L-cup face and the tungsten sole weighting, and date the model to 2020.
