About the MacGregor MT PRO-C
The MT PRO-C was the cavity-back half of MacGregor's 2008 MT revival, which the company described as an updated version of the VIP Tour iron — a compact players cavity sold alongside the MT PRO-M muscleback until MacGregor ceased US operations in February 2009. The head is forged from 1025 carbon steel and CNC-milled, in bright satin chrome. Lofts, lies and lengths are identical to the PRO-M's — a 35-degree 7-iron and 47-degree pitching wedge over the 3-PW set, each club at D3 on a .355 taper tip — so the two models combine into one blended set. Stock shafts were True Temper Dynamic Gold S300 or Nippon NS Pro 1150GH with Golf Pride DD2 grips, with left-handed sets offered.

Frequently asked questions
What is the loft of a MacGregor MT PRO-C 7-iron?
The MacGregor MT PRO-C 7-iron has a loft of 35 degrees, a lie of 62.5 degrees and a length of 37 inches.
What is the difference between the MT PRO-C and MT PRO-M?
The PRO-C is the cavity back — MacGregor called it an updated VIP Tour iron — while the PRO-M is the muscleback. Their published loft, lie and length tables are identical, so they blend into combo sets.
When were MacGregor MT PRO-C irons made?
They launched for 2008 and ended with MacGregor's exit from US operations in February 2009.
Finding a used set
The MacGregor MT PRO-C ran from 2008 to 2009 and is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search the used listings on eBay, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.
