About the Miura TC-202

The TC-202 is Miura's tour cavity, announced on 11 March 2025 at $350 per club as the successor to the 2020 TC-201, reaching retail in mid-April 2025. Heads are hand-forged from S20C soft carbon steel in Himeji, Japan, to the factory's plus-or-minus 0.5-gram weight tolerance. The generation adds a T-Weight Bar across the back to control mass distribution, a variable-depth cavity, and Miura's Y-grind leading edge, keeping the balance of muscle-back precision and cavity-back forgiveness that defines the TC line. The loft ladder is unchanged from the TC-201 through the 9-iron — a 33-degree 7-iron — but the pitching wedge is 45 degrees and a 50-degree gap wedge extends the set to 3-GW. Heads come in Satin Chrome, with QPQ and Raw finishes also offered. Miura sells heads through authorized dealers and fitters and builds sets to order from a shaft menu, so no stock shaft is recorded.

When was the Miura TC-202 released and what does it cost?

Miura announced the TC-202 on 11 March 2025 at $350 per club, with pre-orders opening that day and retail availability from mid-April 2025.

What changed between the Miura TC-201 and TC-202?

The TC-202 adds a T-Weight Bar across the back for mass distribution, a variable-depth cavity and a Y-grind leading edge. The lofts match the TC-201 through the 9-iron, but the PW is 45 degrees (against 46) and a 50-degree gap wedge extends the set to 3-GW.

Where it sits in the lineup

Introduced in 2025, the Miura TC-202 is a current players set in the Miura range, with no replacement announced. It replaced the Miura TC-201. New sets are built to the standard lofts, lies and lengths in the chart above, though a fitting can move any of them — so confirm the numbers on the order sheet. Used sets appear on eBay, 2nd Swing and Golf Avenue, and should be measured against this chart before buying.

Data compiled from:
  • Miura Golf official TC-202 product page (miuragolf.com/products/tc-202) — full specification table (loft, lie, length, face progression and head weight for 3-iron through gap wedge), S20C soft carbon steel construction, the T-Weight Bar, variable-depth cavity and Y-grind leading edge, and the Satin Chrome, QPQ and Raw finish options.
  • firstcallgolf.com / The Golf Wire press release 'Miura Golf launches new TC-202 irons, continuing a tradition of balancing muscle-back precision with cavity-back forgiveness', 11 March 2025 — the announcement date, $350-per-club price, pre-orders opening 11 March and retail availability from 15-16 April 2025, and the TC-201 succession after roughly five years.
  • The Golf Club Trader Miura TC-202 iron specifications page — corroborates the full loft/lie/length table, including the 45-degree PW and 50-degree GW.
  • Note: offset, bounce and swing weight are omitted because Miura publishes face progression in millimetres rather than offset in inches and lists no bounce or swing-weight figures. No stock shaft is recorded because Miura sells heads to authorized fitters and builds sets to order.
