About the Mizuno MP-5
The MP-5 launched alongside the MP-25 in September 2015 as Mizuno's compact players cavity, described by the company as a blade profile with a hollowed-out back rather than a full cavity design. It is Grain Flow Forged from 1025E mild carbon steel and was sold as a 3-PW set. Lofts match the MP-4 and MP-15 of the same period, running 21 degrees in the 3-iron to 46 degrees in the pitching wedge with a 34-degree 7-iron. Specs below are the men's standard steel-shaft build.

Frequently asked questions

What is the pitching wedge loft on the Mizuno MP-5?
The MP-5 pitching wedge is 46 degrees, with a 63-degree lie and a 35.5-inch length.
Are the Mizuno MP-5 irons blades?
Not strictly. The MP-5 keeps a blade-like profile and topline but hollows out the back of the head, placing it between the MP-4 muscle back and the fuller MP-15 cavity.
Finding a used set
The Mizuno MP-5 ran from 2015 to 2017 and is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search eBay, 2nd Swing, Golf Avenue and the PGA Tour Superstore trade-in listings, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.
