About the Ping G Le2

The G Le2 is the second generation of Ping's line engineered specifically for women, launched on 2 July 2019. The irons use Ping's COR-Eye face technology with a deep top-rail undercut for more face flexing, a tungsten toe weight that lifts MOI about ten percent over the original G Le, and a lightweight overall build with C-range swing weights. The iron set runs 6-iron through sand wedge, with matching G Le2 hybrids covering the 4H to 7H slots above it. Specs below are the women's standard graphite build with the ULT 240 i shaft; Ping's colour-code system sets lie relative to the standard lies listed. The G Le3 replaced it in 2023.

Finding a used set

The Ping G Le2 ran from 2019 to 2023 and is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search eBay, 2nd Swing, Golf Avenue and the PGA Tour Superstore trade-in listings, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.

Data compiled from:
  • Morton Golf Sales (authorized Ping dealer) Ping G Le2 individual irons page — supplied every loft, lie, length, offset, bounce and swing weight above from Ping's design specifications, including the 4H-7H hybrid specs that sit above the iron set.
  • thegolfwire.com Ping G Le2 launch release, 2 July 2019 — independently corroborates every loft and length, the 6-SW set composition, the ULT 240 i stock shaft in Lite and Ultra Lite flexes, and the tungsten-toe-weight and COR-Eye construction.
  • Note: lie angles are the standard (black colour code) lies at women's standard length; Ping's colour-code system adjusts lie around these figures.
