Lofts are the stamped stock options for each head, factory standard. The hosel chart below shows how far each can be adjusted from its stamped loft.
Length note: Standard lengths are based on the stock ALTA CB Black 70 shaft. Ping publishes lie as the average across the five neutral-lie hosel positions.
Hosel adjustment chart
Trajectory Tuning 2.0 · loft ±1.5° · 8 settings.
Three flat positions sit up to 3° flatter than standard; there is no upright setting. Lowering loft opens the face slightly and adding loft closes it.
| Setting | Loft | Lie |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | std | std |
| +1 | +1° | std |
| Big + | +1.5° | std |
| −1 | −1° | std |
| Big − | −1.5° | std |
| Standard Flat | std | 3° flat |
| +1 Flat | +1° | 3° flat |
| −1 Flat | −1° | 3° flat |
The same eight-position chart as the G430 drivers and fairways. The ±1.5° "big" settings exist only at the standard lie; the flat positions offer 0 and ±1° of loft.

About the Ping G430
The G430 hybrid reached retail in January 2023 with the G430 woods, the first Ping hybrid with a Carbonfly Wrap composite crown — the saved weight moved the CG lower for more ball speed and a shallower landing flight. One head covers six lofts from a 17° 2-hybrid to a 34° 7-hybrid, every loft takes the eight-position Trajectory Tuning 2.0 hosel, and a High Launch (HL) build pairs a lighter head with the ALTA Quick shaft in the 3H-7H. The G440 hybrids replaced the line in January 2025.

Frequently asked questions
What lofts does the Ping G430 hybrid come in?
Six lofts: 17, 19, 22, 26, 30 and 34 degrees — the 2-hybrid through 7-hybrid. Note the 3H is 19 degrees, a degree stronger than the G440 generation's 20 degree 3H.
Is the Ping G430 hybrid adjustable?
Yes — every loft uses Ping's eight-position Trajectory Tuning 2.0 hosel, with ±1.5 degrees of loft and flat positions up to 3 degrees flatter than standard.
What changed from the G430 hybrid to the G440 hybrid?
The G440 moved to a shallower, thinner face with an internal Free Hosel and re-spaced the strong end of the ladder: the 19 degree 3H and 22 degree 4H became 20 and 23 degrees. The adjustment chart is unchanged.
Buying one
Ping has since introduced the Ping G440 above it in the range, so the G430 is at the end of its retail life rather than fully retired — closeout stock still turns up at retailers, and hybrids one generation back are the sweet spot of the used market. Before buying used, check the stamped loft against the chart above and ask which hosel setting it is in — an adjustable hybrid may be set a degree or more away from the number on the sole, and sleeve adapters are brand- and generation-specific.
