Lofts are the stamped stock options for each head, factory standard. The hosel chart below shows how far each can be adjusted from its stamped loft.
Length note: Standard lengths are based on the stock ALTA CB Blue 70 shaft. Ping publishes lie as the average across the five neutral-lie hosel positions.
Hosel adjustment chart
Trajectory Tuning 2.0 · loft ±1.5° · 8 settings.
Three flat positions sit up to 3° flatter than standard; there is no upright setting. Lowering loft opens the face slightly and adding loft closes it.

The same eight-position chart as the G440 drivers and fairways. The ±1.5° "big" settings exist only at the standard lie; the flat positions offer 0 and ±1° of loft.

About the Ping G440
The G440 hybrids launched on 30 January 2025 with the G440 woods, on a single six-loft head that runs from a 17° 2-hybrid to a 34° 7-hybrid — Ping's chart maps them to the 2-iron through 7-iron slots. A shallower, thinner face and the internal Free Hosel lower the CG for easier launch, and every head takes the eight-position Trajectory Tuning 2.0 hosel. A High Launch (HL) build pairs an aluminium backweight with the ALTA Quick shaft at a C7 swing weight, offered in the 3H through 7H.

Frequently asked questions
What lofts does the Ping G440 hybrid come in?
Six lofts: 17, 20, 23, 26, 30 and 34 degrees — the 2-hybrid through 7-hybrid. Ping maps them to the 2-iron through 7-iron slots.
Is the Ping G440 hybrid adjustable?
Yes — every loft uses Ping's eight-position Trajectory Tuning 2.0 hosel, with ±1.5 degrees of loft and flat positions up to 3 degrees flatter than standard.
Which G440 hybrid replaces which iron?
Ping's own chart pairs the 17 degree 2H with a 2-iron, 20 degree 3H with a 3-iron, 23 degree 4H with a 4-iron, 26 degree 5H with a 5-iron, 30 degree 6H with a 6-iron and 34 degree 7H with a 7-iron — though hybrids fly further than the iron they replace for most players.
Where it sits in the lineup
Introduced in 2025, the Ping G440 is the current Ping hybrid line as of October 2026, with no replacement announced. It replaced the Ping G430. New heads are sold in the stock lofts charted above; the hosel settings extend each head beyond its stamped loft, so a loft between two stock options is usually reachable from either. Before buying used, check the stamped loft against the chart above and ask which hosel setting it is in — an adjustable hybrid may be set a degree or more away from the number on the sole, and sleeve adapters are brand- and generation-specific.
