Lofts are the stamped stock options for each head, factory standard. The hosel chart below shows how far each can be adjusted from its stamped loft.

Length note: Standard lengths are based on the stock ALTA CB Blue 65 shaft. Ping publishes lie as the average across the five neutral-lie hosel positions.

Trajectory Tuning 2.0 · loft ±1.5° · 8 settings.

Three flat positions sit up to 3° flatter than standard; there is no upright setting. Lowering loft opens the face slightly and adding loft closes it, as on any hosel-based adjuster.

The same eight-position chart as the G440 drivers, carried unchanged from the G425 and G430 generations, so sleeves and settings interchange across Ping's woods. The ±1.5° "big" settings exist only at the standard lie; the flat positions offer 0 and ±1° of loft.

About the Ping G440

The G440 fairway woods launched on 30 January 2025 with the G440 drivers, carrying the same Carbonfly Wrap crown and weight-saving Free Hosel. The Max is the core head for most players and adds a new 17° 4-wood to the familiar 3-9-wood ladder; the LST is the compact titanium-bodied low-spin head for faster swings; and the SFT is the draw-biased slice corrector with a taller face for tee use. High Launch (HL) builds of the Max and SFT pair an aluminium backweight with the 38-44 g ALTA Quick shaft at a C7-C8 swing weight.

Frequently asked questions

What lofts do the Ping G440 fairway woods come in?

The G440 Max comes in 15, 17, 19, 21 and 24 degrees — including a new 17 degree 4-wood; the G440 LST in 15 and 19; and the G440 SFT in 16, 19 and 22.

Is the Ping G440 fairway wood adjustable?

Yes — every head uses Ping's eight-position Trajectory Tuning 2.0 hosel, with ±1.5 degrees of loft and flat positions up to 3 degrees flatter than standard. There is no upright setting.

What is the difference between the G440 Max and G440 LST fairway woods?

The Max is the steel-faced core head in five lofts at D2. The LST is a titanium head with an HST titanium face and tungsten sole plate, built for faster swings that need less spin, in 15 and 19 degrees at D3.

Where it sits in the lineup

Introduced in 2025, the Ping G440 is the current Ping fairway wood line as of October 2026, with no replacement announced. It replaced the Ping G430. New heads are sold in the stock lofts charted above; the hosel settings extend each head beyond its stamped loft, so a loft between two stock options is usually reachable from either. Before buying used, check the stamped loft against the chart above and ask which hosel setting it is in — an adjustable fairway wood may be set a degree or more away from the number on the sole, and sleeve adapters are brand- and generation-specific.
