About the TaylorMade P7MC (2023)

The second-generation P7MC is TaylorMade's forged tour cavity back, announced on 6 December 2022 alongside a new P770 and P7MB and sold as the 2023 model. The loft, lie, length and offset chart carries over unchanged from the 2020 P7MC — a 34-degree 7-iron and a 47-degree pitching wedge — but the standard swing weight drops a point, to D2 through the 9-iron and D3 in the pitching wedge. The set runs 3-iron through pitching wedge with no stock gap wedge. Figures are the men's standard right-handed steel build.

No. Both generations run 20, 23, 26, 30, 34, 38, 42.5 and 47 degrees from 3-iron to pitching wedge, with the same lies, lengths and offsets. The published swing weight is one point lighter on the 2023 model, at D2 through the 9-iron and D3 in the pitching wedge.

Are the 2023 P7MC and P7MB lofts the same?

Yes. In the 2023 generation the two share one loft, lie and length chart, so they can be mixed in a combo set without a loft jump. The P7MB has less offset, from 1.9mm at the 3-iron to 1.4mm at the pitching wedge against 2.9mm to 1.5mm on the P7MC.

Finding a used set

The TaylorMade P7MC (2023) ran from 2022 to 2024 and is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search eBay, 2nd Swing, Golf Avenue and the PGA Tour Superstore trade-in listings, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.
