About the Titleist 712 MB

The 712 MB is Titleist's muscleback for the 712 generation, forged from a single block of 1025 carbon steel with constant blade length through the set and minimal progressive offset. Lofts are traditional throughout — 35 degrees at the 7-iron, 47 at the pitching wedge — and the chart is the one Titleist then carried, essentially unchanged, through the 714, 716 and 718 musclebacks. Figures are the men's standard right-handed steel build.

Frequently asked questions

What is the loft of a Titleist 712 MB 7-iron?

The Titleist 712 MB 7-iron has a loft of 35 degrees, a lie of 63.0 degrees and a steel-shaft length of 37.00 inches.

When were Titleist 712 MB irons made?

The 712 generation was introduced in 2011 and replaced by the 714 line in 2013.

What is the difference between the Titleist 712 MB and 712 CB?

47 degrees — the traditional muscleback figure Titleist kept through the 714, 716 and 718 MB as well.

Finding a used set

The Titleist 712 MB ran from 2011 to 2013 and is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search eBay, 2nd Swing, Golf Avenue and the PGA Tour Superstore trade-in listings, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.
