About the Haywood CB

The Haywood CB is the Canadian direct-to-consumer brand's forged cavity back, announced on 2 November 2021 alongside the second-generation MB as the "2022 Haywood CB & MB". Heads are forged from 1020 carbon steel and then fully CNC-milled to final spec, which Haywood credits with some of the tightest weight tolerances in the industry. Perimeter weighting and a slightly wider sole than the MB add forgiveness while sharing the MB's traditional loft ladder - a 34-degree 7-iron and 46-degree pitching wedge - so the two blend cleanly into combo sets. Sold 4-PW, built to order with Haywood's shaft menu rather than a single stock shaft. Swing weights below are from the launch spec sheet; Haywood's current chart restates them as D1/D2 for a 110-gram shaft build.

Frequently asked questions

What is the loft of a Haywood CB 7-iron?

The Haywood CB 7-iron has a loft of 34 degrees, with a 62-degree lie, 37-inch length and 0.08 inches of offset.

Is the Haywood CB forged or cast?

Forged. Heads are forged from 1020 carbon steel and then 100% CNC-milled to final shape and weight.

Can the Haywood CB be combined with the MB?

Yes. The CB and MB share the same lofts, lies and lengths club-for-club, so Haywood sells them as CB/MB combo sets - typically CB long irons into MB short irons.

Where it sits in the lineup

Introduced in 2021, the Haywood CB is a current players set in the Haywood range, with no replacement announced. New sets are built to the standard lofts, lies and lengths in the chart above, though a fitting can move any of them — so confirm the numbers on the order sheet. Used sets appear on eBay, 2nd Swing and Golf Avenue, and should be measured against this chart before buying.
