About the PXG 0311 P GEN7

GEN7 replaced the XCOR2 core with QuantumCOR and thinned the maraging face to 0.050 inches, a claimed 15 per cent reduction, with a 20-gram internal tungsten toe weight pulling the centre of gravity back to the middle of the face. The loft, lie, length and offset chart is unchanged from the GEN5 and GEN6 P heads — PXG has run the same P numbers for three generations. PXG stamps the two scoring clubs W and G; they are listed here as PW and GW.

Finding a used set

The PXG 0311 P GEN7 ran from 2024 to 2026 and is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search eBay, 2nd Swing, Golf Avenue and the PGA Tour Superstore trade-in listings, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.

Data compiled from:
  • 2nd Swing Golf specification table for the PXG 0311 P GEN7 iron set (https://www.2ndswing.com/golf-clubs/iron-sets/pxg-0311-p-gen7-iron-set) — supplied loft, lie, length and offset for the 4-iron through gap wedge. The table labels the offset column in millimetres, but the values are the same inch figures PXG publishes for the GEN6 P, so they are recorded here as inches.
  • PXG's own 0311 P GEN6 spec page (https://pxg.com.au/pages/pxg-0311-p-gen6-iron-specs) — identical chart, which is how the GEN7 figures were cross-checked.
  • pxg.com 'PXG Releases GEN7 Irons and Black Ops Irons' and todays-golfer.com's GEN7 launch piece — 7 August 2024 release, QuantumCOR, 0.050-inch maraging face, 20 g internal tungsten toe weight.
  • Note: bounce is omitted because the source table did not carry a bounce column. year_discontinued is the GEN8 range (https://www.pxg.com/products/gen8-irons), which ships P, XP and T heads and was announced on 15 January 2026.
