About the PXG 0311 T GEN5

The 0311 T is the tour head of PXG's GEN5 family — the most compact of the three, with the least offset and the narrowest sole. Like the P and XP it is a forged hollow body filled with PXG's XCOR2 polymer behind a thin HT1770 maraging face, so it behaves like a distance iron without the size. Lofts are traditional for the category, 32 degrees at the 7-iron and 46 at the pitching wedge, four degrees weaker than the 0311 P at every club.

Frequently asked questions

What is the loft of a PXG 0311 T GEN5 7-iron?

The PXG 0311 T GEN5 7-iron has a loft of 32 degrees, a lie of 62.5 degrees and a steel-shaft length of 37.00 inches.

What is the difference between PXG 0311 T, P and XP GEN5?

Head size and loft. T is the compact tour head at 32 degrees for the 7-iron, P is the mid-size players head at 30 degrees, and XP is the largest and strongest at 27 degrees. Offset rises in the same order.

How much bounce does a PXG 0311 T GEN5 have?

It is progressive — 3 degrees at the 4-iron rising to 12 degrees at the pitching and gap wedges.

Finding a used set

The PXG 0311 T GEN5 ran from 2022 to 2023 and is no longer in production, so the used market is the only source. Search eBay, 2nd Swing, Golf Avenue and the PGA Tour Superstore trade-in listings, and check the loft and lie against the chart above before buying — sets this age have often been bent from standard.

Data compiled from:
  • 2ndswing.com PXG 0311 T GEN5 Chrome Iron Set specification table — loft, lie, length, offset and bounce for the 4-iron through gap wedge, the 4-GW stock make-up, the Dynamic Gold 95 stock shaft and the PXG Z5 Black grip.
  • mygolfspy.com 'PXG 0311 GEN5 Irons (0311 T, 0311 P, 0311 XP)' — confirms the three-model GEN5 line, the forged 8620 body with HT1770 maraging face and XCOR2 core, and that there is no separate model badged simply 0311 GEN5.
